About MAF

MAF, or Mission Aviation Fellowship is a Christ centered, not for profit organization, using aviation and technology to share God’s love to isolated people around the world.
Entire communities where the road is cut off, too dangerous to travel, or time is of the essence.... or sometimes a disaster will turn an entire area that was thriving and accessible into a brand new isolated people in need, it is MAF’s passion and call, to provide for the needs of these people and communities, to show the care, compassion, and love that Jesus Christ has for the suffering….. and all people.

We operate a fleet of approximately 130 aircraft ranging from Cessna 182s to DH-6s and Twin Otters. The majority of our fleet is made up of Cessna 206’s. The 206 is a single engine, fixed gear, rugged aircraft that fits the type of flying that MAF does well. We fly into rugged, dirt strips, some no more than a dirt path carved out of the jungle. We have floats on some planes to land at villages on a river, or coastal town or city. Whatever we can do to make an area accessible, we will do.  These aircraft are operated in over 30 countries around the world, the majority of which lack the roads and infrastructure which we in the West take for granted. This leaves hundreds of thousands of people cut off from medicine, doctors and hospitals, or spiritually hungry or lost.  These are the people for which MAF exists.
Mission Aviation Fellowship partners with hundreds of other mission and relief agencies, such as World Vision, Every Tribe, and Red Cross to name just a few. MAF’s greatest value is in multiplying the effectiveness of all these other agencies and missions. So by partnering with MAF, you are enabling and empowering these other agencies when their missions take them off the beaten path.
